Isn't it beautiful? The white sand, the crystal-clear seawater, and the blue sea will not let any eyes miss the beauty. Yup, Indrayanti beach is called the Bali of Yogyakarta because of its magnificence. Although this beach is well-known as Indrayanti, the original name of it is Pulang Sawal. The name of Indrayanti is taken from a couple who own a restaurant near the beach. The couples, namely Indra and Yanti, put up a signboard with their names' on which is 'Indrayanti' in front of the restaurant. As lots of visitors see it, they call the beach 'Pantai Indrayanti'.

Pantai Indrayanti is located in Gunung Kidul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta. From Malioboro Street to the beach, it has a distance of 67,1 kilometres.
2. How to Get There
- Transportation and fee
There is two possible transportation that you can use which are public and private transportation. If you use public transportation, simply take a bus with the route of Jogja - Wonosari. The bus stays in Giwangan Terminal, Yogyakarta and it departs every 30 minutes from 4.30 - 16.30. The carfare is Rp140.000, and it equals to $10.07. After arriving at Wonosari, you can take online transportation such as taxi, car, or motorcycle to the beach. I recommend you two most-used online transportation apps in Indonesia, they are Gojek and Grab. You can find them on Google Play and App Store.
If you take private transportation, supposed that you use a car and start from Malioboro Street, you can head to Bantul Regency and will pass several districts. It only takes an hour and 35 minutes to arrive. I will show you the route: Sewon > Imogiri > Siluk > Panggang > Trowono > Baron. From Baron Beach, go 10 KM to the east, then you will find Indrayanti beach.

4. Tickets and Operational Hours
To visit Indrayanti beach, you have to buy a ticket for only Rp10.000 per person. Next, you have to pay a parking fee if you use private transportation: Rp3000 for one motorcycle and Rp5000 for one car. They also set a parking fee for a bus for Rp20.000.
You can come to the beach at any time because it opens 24 hours! Indrayanti beach is perfect for enjoying sunrise and sunset as it'll give you stunning scenery.
